HOLY SMOKES!

Holy smokes everyone, just found the coolest thing ever! Googledocs! It's basically a free microsoft office suite! I LOVE IT!!! Maybe this is old news to everyone else, but I'm pretty excited!

So...Black Friday...It was nuts! I was looking through the ads with my family. Dave and I had been discussing getting an HDTV so that we can have one in the future when we're too poor to go out and buy one. I decided to find the best deal that I could. I pulled out the Target ad and my tv smiled up at me and I got all warm and fuzzy. $300.00 for a 40" 1080p Westinghouse. I showed the family and they all agreed that it was a beautiful idea. Then in comes my big brother; "Brooke, I used to work at target. It's a mad house and they only stock a few tv's. It's just something to get you in the door. If you want that you'll have to camp out all night." He and I got talking and decided that we should go camping...

Midnight rolls around and we kiss our families goodbye. Dave was so so soooo worried about me. Jake's my big brother though. It's like having a body guard but better. We rolled into Target around 12:30 and there were about 20 people in line ahead of us. We dressed for the occasion, but by 2:00 we were frozen to our bones. We made friends with some nice people who gave us hand and foot warmers, but even then it was bitter cold. My feet were numb by 3:00 and the doors opened at 4:00.

Jake and I sat in the cold and made a game plan. He told me the fastest way to navigate the store. My job was to go get all the little hot items that we wanted. He was to race into the television madness.

The doors opened and I hauled tushy! my feet were numb and wet and my joints were frozen. I probably looked super ridiculous, but I didn't fall. I was the first one back to the cameras and video games! YAY! Good job Jake telling me how to get there fast. I picked up the things we wanted (and an item for the nice lady who gave me hand warmers) hit the toy section, and within 20 minutes Jake and I were in line with EVERYTHING we'd wanted!!! W00T! by 4:40 we were pumped with adrenalin and in a warm car headed home with our treasures.

Seriously, how awesome is my bro? He froze his niblets off and fought a huge crowd, not to mention staying up all night- just so that his little sister could get the tv that she wanted for Christmas.

Dave deserves a shout out too. He took our little guy for me while I was gone and Aaron, cute though he is, doesn't sleep well for Dave. He kept the poor man up the entire time that we were gone and Dave didn't even ask anyone for help. Good job honey! You keep my world spinning more often than not.

I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. Happy holidays!
